What a perfect hostess gift for Canada Day! What could be more Canadian than maple syrup and local honey?
This basket is jammed full of local products, including honey from Bee Meadow Farm, the animal rescue farm we’re raising funds for with this year’s Homes with Woofs event (deets on the side bar).
It contains two big jars of honey (1 kg each) from Natalie’s hives. A big 1 kg jar of maple syrup in a decorative maple leaf bottle, also from Apple Hill. Beeswax candles made by Pierre Houle, one of Natalie’s fabulous neighbours. But there’s more!
A jar of hot pepper jelly, courtesy of Cornwall’s LoveLoveFood; some of Natalie’s home made Amorous Duck soap, plus a Quebec version with a donkey on the label that looks just like Saul, Bee Meadow’s adorable resident donkey (see below). I added a festive red and white pinwheel plus a Canadian flag to help you celebrate, plus a really lovely red and white striped oven mitt and holder, and some gorgeous paper napkins, all in a terrific wooden box tray.
(Here’s Natalie with Saul and Keaton, a barn cat who loves to hang out with Saul and the pot-bellied pigs and all the baby goats!)
Tickets are $ 5 each, draw will be on June 1st. Celebrate Canada! Help us raise funds for Bee Meadow Farm’s rescue animals! (That’s Natalie with Keaton, who loves to hang out in the barn with the baby goats and the pot-bellied pigs. And that’s Saul!)
