We got a great donation from a new business called what the dog nose — sixteen rescue T-shirts that we can sell at our fundraiser on June 12th!
As she writes:
“We heard about your terrific fundraiser — Homes with Woofs — through a fellow dog business owner, Janice from Wagzwear.
“Like you I am a dog lover and a Royal LePage Agent — so I was immediately drawn to your cause. Our company, what the dog nose, is a relatively new business owned by my sister and myself. We design and sell ‘cool stuff for dog people’ — including t-shirts, baseball caps, cooks’ aprons, water bottles, etc. — that celebrate the special bond between dogs and their families.
“We just completed our first ever Crowdfunding campaign to help Canadian dog rescue organizations. Funds raised allowed us to design a unique, rescue themed t-shirt which we are now donating to several Canadian rescue organizations. These groups can then sell the t-shirts and raise funds for their ongoing projects.”
What Karen didn’t mention is that she and her sister, Kathy, raised $ 1,700 (their goal was $ 1,600) through their Indiegogo campaign, details at http://igg.me/p/680206.Very nice!
The t-shirts range in price from $ 18 to $25, so this is a very generous donation indeed. They come in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large so you should be able to find something that fits. We’ll have a special table set up to sell these and our Homes with Woofs cookies and raffle tickets on June 12.
I love the photographs of their own special pals on their website. This little cutie is Shakespeare.
Thanks again, Karen and Kathy! (I love that we have a Royal LePage agent involved from so far away.) Thanks also to Janice at Wagz Wear for making the introduction. (Janice has also donated a number of items, including a double-handed leash and collar, that will be part of a gift basket we’re raffling off at the event; they’re really nice!)
