Happy tail wags are definitely owed to Pet Valu — George was in touch with their CEO, Tom McNeely, to tell him what we were up to, and thanks to Julie Johnston and Megan Spadafora of Merchandising and Marketing, we got this great donation for our silent auction, valued at $ 300!
It is literally stuffed full of toys and great items for dogs including a gorgeous, plush dog bed, three stuffed dog toys; a miniature soccer ball; a leather leash and collar, three chew toys, a LED flashing light to keep your pet safe on those night walks, two packages of doggy treats, two dog bones, two metal food dishes, and a pet-themed picture frame. Whew!
Pet Valu’s website points out that all of its stores are dedicated to helping local pets in need, and partner with local shelters, rescues and charities for adoption events, in-store adoption (select stores only) and pet food bank programs, as well as through a national donation drives and fundraising campaigns. Well, they certainly came through for us! Thanks, Pet Valu!
